When I Babysit Plants for Coworkers
|December 18, 2013||Filled under Working|
Since I don’t have many vacation days saved up, I’ve become the designated holiday plant-watcher at my office. I can’t say I mind — it’s quiet and it’s not like watering plants takes a lot of effort.
Of course, my coworkers clearly don’t understand the risks of leaving me to babysit. Because while they’re away, Kristen will play….with their plants. I may have had too much free time on my hands this week.
First, I started off with a knock knock joke.
Planty did not appreciate being left alone with someone new.
But I keep telling her that he’s coming back soon! Though, I’m not sure she believes me….
At least Planty has some hobbies to keep her occupied.
Come on guys! Let’s Photosynthesize!
But there have been some embarrassing moments for Planty, too. So I had to shame her into behaving.
Planty is also a big supporter of making bad decisions. She is a terrible influence!
But she often regrets those bad decisions the next morning.
At the end of the day, she is a lovely and loyal plant waiting for her favorite deskmate to return from his vacation. But until then, she is showing off her leafy self all dolled up for the holidays and chillin’ on my desk.
Oh, and we renamed her Fionia, because she is totally a Fiona.
Any idea what kind of plant this is?
Because we can’t seem to figure it out.
Ever play fun games or pranks on coworkers while they’re away?
